Covers of the How to Make a Custom Dress Form e-Books

How to Make a Custom Dress Form is a series of interactive e-Books that include video demonstrations as well as written descriptions originally developed for an online class "How to Make a Body Double."

The instructions for making the basic torso form are also included in my paperback book How to Make Sewing Patterns. The paperback book How to Make Custom-Fit Bras & Lingerie shows how to create the custom-fit bras that can be used to provide additional detail to these forms.

Important Note

The e-Books in this series are designed to work with Adobe Reader XI.
Testing indicates the e-Books do not work with Apple's iPad or other tablets.
To verify they will work on your system, use the free Introduction.

These e-Books show how to create forms from fitted slopers and inexpensive artists' mat board, see Required Slopers. The forms can be used in different configurations for specific projects, see Convertible Forms and Bra Forms.

To optimize flexibility, this series is divided into three e-Books that cover specific topics. For example, if you only want a torso form, Volume 1 is self-contained and you can skip the information on how to create legs. To help you select the e-Books you want, the free Introductory e-Book describes the series and gives you the opportunity to try it's interactive features.
